About

Sigrún Halla Ásgeirsdóttir is an interdisciplinary artist who creates tactile, layered works in painting, textiles and sculpture that invite a subtle sensory encounter. Her practice moves between intuition and intention, allowing perception, memory and poetic reflection to shape the work. Drawing is a constant thread, while an experimental approach to materials reveals the quiet beauty found in imperfection, process and transformation.

Sigrún Halla lives and works in Reykjavík. With a background in digital design, textiles and art history, she is a member of both the Icelandic Textile Association and The Association of Icelandic Visual Artists (SÍM). Alongside her artistic practice, she works in theatre production as a scenic artist and prop maker.
